Many Jewish animal and vegan advocates feel unseen, unsafe, or alone. We exist to ensure no one has to choose between their activism and their identity.
The Pom is a community working to restore integrity and ethical consistency to the global animal and vegan advocacy movement by ensuring it remains a space where Jewish advocates and allies can participate and lead with dignity.
Our main goal is to contribute to create a movement that is professionally accountable and strategically focused on its core mission: fighting for the animals and for a more compassionate food system.
We are committed to a future where compassion and ethical choices are at the forefront of our food system and of our movement itself.

What We Do
Build Community [The Pom]: Providing support, networking, and safety for Jewish advocates and allies to ensure their continued participation within the movement;
Institutional Accountability [The Pomegranate Community]: Educating animal and vegan advocacy organizations and the public on Jew-hatred literacy.
Financial Resilience [Every Generation Fund]: Providing grant-making support to non-governmental organizations dedicated to animal and vegan advocacy that face exclusion or funding loss due to their Jewish or Israeli identity.
Why The Pomegranate
The pomegranate reminds us that strength lies in collective life.
In Jewish tradition, the pomegranate is said to contain 613 seeds, corresponding to the mitzvot (commandments). For us, the seeds symbolize the diversity of the Jewish experience: each unique, yet all belonging to the same whole, interconnected community.
To join The Pom is to become a seed for change.
Together with our allies, we confront Jew-hatred and strengthen our shared commitment: a movement for animals that must also be a movement rooted in safety and care for its members.
